Valérie de Haas

My name is Valérie de Haas, and I work as a pediatric oncologist in the hemato-oncology department on the third floor. I mainly treat children with leukemia and bone marrow failure.

I also have a position in the diagnostic laboratory, where I am responsible for blood and bone marrow diagnostics. This creates short lines of communication between the lab and the other physicians, which helps us work together closely and effectively.

• 2008–2018: Head of the SKION laboratory, The Hague

• 1995–2006: Pediatric residency at Emma Children’s Hospital/AMC, followed by training in pediatric oncology
