About me
As a neurologist, I am involved in the care of children with brain tumors or tumors in or around the spinal cord. The role of the pediatric neurologist is to assess which problems a child is experiencing because of the tumor and how these symptoms can be treated. This may include weakness, speech problems, epilepsy, behavior changes or headaches.
Children with tumors elsewhere in the body can also develop neurological problems. In those cases, the pediatric neurologist helps determine the diagnosis and any treatment needed.
