About me

My name is Birgitta Versluys, and I work as a pediatric oncologist in the stem cell transplantation department. The treatment our patients go through is very intensive. I see it as my role to help children and their families get through this process as well as possible. This means clearly explaining what this complex therapy involves, carefully monitoring for possible side effects, and working closely with my colleagues to provide the best possible care.

I also think it is important that, during this intens time, we can still share a laugh now and then and pay attention to the “ordinary” things in life.
