A thyroid test helps us understand how the thyroid gland functions and what it looks like. During this test, a small amount of radioactive fluid is administered through a vein.

During treatment, your child will have many tests and procedures. A child life specialist helps your child, and you, prepare for these.
Your child will lie on a narrow table under a camera. The camera comes close but does not touch your child. Your child needs to lie still for a while. We can assist with a vacuum mattress to help them stay comfortable.
There are different types of thyroid tests. The letter from the appointment office will provide all the details about the test your child will undergo.
