Coping with loss and grief
Sometimes treatment does not work, or there is no treatment available, and a child passes away.
Social work, the Children’s Comfort Team, and your child life specialist can help you create memories, make choices, or find a funeral director. They can also refer you to grief and bereavement counseling in your area or other forms of support. After your child has passed away, they continue to offer follow-up care and can help you find appropriate guidance and care in your own region.
