KLIK
At the Princess Máxima Center, we want to support you as well as possible, during and after your treatment. To do this, it is important for us to know how you are doing. We look not only at your medical situation, but also at your daily life. We do this, among other things, through KLIK. KLIK is an abbreviation for Kwaliteit van Leven In Kaart (Quality of Life in Clinical Practice).
Questions for you
Through the KLIK portal, you will receive a set of questions up to four times a year. For example, about how you feel, how things are going at school, your contact with friends, how much energy you have, and whether you sleep well.
You can complete the questions at home, on your computer, tablet, or phone. Are you younger than 8 years old? Then your parents will complete the questions.
Helpful: in the KLIK portal, you can also write down what you would like to discuss with your care provider. That way, you will not forget.
During your next visit to the outpatient clinic, you and your physician or nurse specialist will go over the answers together. This helps us see how you are doing over time and offer support when needed.

Questions for your parents
Your parents will also sometimes receive questions through KLIK. Shortly after diagnosis, we ask them to complete a questionnaire about your family. The medical social worker reviews this together with the information from the intake interview. This helps us assess whether additional support is needed, and what kind.
After that, we ask your parents every six months to let us know through KLIK how you and your family are doing, and whether there is a need for contact with someone from the psychosocial team.
Scientific research
At the Máxima Center, we conduct research on the health and quality of life of children, adolescents, and (young) adults who are or have been treated with us. For this, we use the answers from KLIK. Your answers are anonymized, which means they cannot be traced back to you personally.
We use this information to improve care, now and in the future.
At the Máxima Center, we also conduct many other scientific studies in which the KLIK portal is used to complete questionnaires. For each study, we ask for your consent separately. You will receive an email or notification when a questionnaire is ready for you. We do our best to avoid asking the same questions more than once.
