The European Youth Cancer Network
31 oktober 2025
Building on previous European projects, EU-CAYAS-NET and OACCUs, YARN is expanding a growing European network of adolescents and young adults who are living with or have had cancer. It does so by improving access to psychosocial support, reliable information, and resources for long-term care. Special attention is given to young people facing recurrence, metastatic cancer, and side effects or late effects of treatment.
YARN has six key goals:
Increase connection and peer support among young people who have or have had cancer.
Build a stronger European network of young people with lived experience.
Provide reliable, multilingual information about side effects, recurrence, and metastatic cancer.
Promote mental health and well-being, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
Train 100 young people as patient advocates through the ACE Academy.
Advance equality, diversity, and inclusion in cancer care.
In addition, YARN is developing a digital platform where young people can connect, share experiences, and access information and support. The platform is available at www.beatcancer.eu%2520%257B%2520%255Bnative%2520code%255D%2520%257D&w=384&q=100)
