Survivor Margo creates a special vase for LATER
15 mei 2023
A special moment at the LATER clinic on Thursday afternoon, 11 May. Margo Houwing-Tabak presented a vase that she had specially painted for the LATER clinic.
Margo was treated for leukemia in the early 1990s. Due to late effects that developed over time, she was forced to close her successful hair salon, which employed five staff members. As a child, she drew and painted a lot. During her rehabilitation process in 2020, she rediscovered her passion for drawing and painting.
She now creates vases in her Art Studio Margo, and donates part of the proceeds from each vase sold to the Princess Máxima Center. The vase she presented today has great personal meaning for her. Margo says: ‘Normally, I do not struggle with making the first brushstroke, but this vase was different. This vase has special meaning and, for me, it completes the circle. I hope visitors to the LATER clinic like the vase and enjoy looking at it.’
