This Preceptorship will take place on June 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on June 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What is it?

The Preceptorship ‘Best practices in Supportive Care'  is a highly practical and interactive live forum. It provides a unique opportunity for pediatric oncologists and hematologists (whether or not in training) or other experts in the field.

During the Preceptorship you will interact with leading Dutch and international faculty in order to increase clinical knowledge, apply new data to practice, and ultimately improve patient outcomes. During this postgraduate educational program, main topics will focus on prevention and treatment of infections, critical care, nutritional support, comfort care (including palliative care) and late effects.

You will follow 12 sessions of one hour each (see program). Each session is led by a faculty member who will interact with the subgroup using frequently asked questions you can provide upfront. A subgroup will count up to 10 persons each. This set-up allows intensive interaction between the participants and the experts.

For who?

Future expert leads who (will) take an active role in continuous improvements in supportive care, pediatric oncologists and hematologists (whether or not in training), oncologists and hematologists treating young adults and other experts in the field.
